ABOUT microneedling
Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that creates micro wounds in the skin to stimulate collagen production. This multi purpose treatment takes advantage of the body’s natural healing process to treat a variety of skin conditions. To achieve optimal results, a series of multiple treatments (3-5) is typically recommended.
wHAT IT IS
Microneedling uses a handheld device that uses extremely sharp, sterile needles to puncture the skin and stimulate collagen. Adding PRP or peptide complex serum in addition to microneedling has been shown to make the treatment more effective because the PRP or peptide complex serum contains proteins, including growth factors and cytokines, which help skin tissue repair itself and regenerate.
how it works
Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure with very little downtime. With PRP, Our injector will take a blood sample and then use a spinning tool called a centrifuge to separate the PRP from the rest of the blood. Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed and a numbing cream will be applied prior to the treatment. During the treatment, your own PRP will be applied to the treatment area. With peptide complex serum, the sterile serum will be applied to the treatment area like PRP, this option is for clients who do not want a blood draw but increased benefits of providing a nutrient rich serum to the microneedling process. You may feel some warmth and a scratching/pulling sensation as the device moves over your skin, but the numbing cream should keep pain to a minimum. Immediately after treatment, your skin will likely be red and swollen; this can last up to a few days. You can return to your normal routine immediately after the procedure, but you should stay out of the sun until your skin heals.
